Personality:
Avery is very cunning, which may seen a little uncharacteristic for an angel. She can always find any loophole or get out of trouble very easily. This give rein to the fact that she's also very mischievous, but she has to rein in her enthusiasm here because she would rather not be sent to Lucifer. Also, she would never purposefully harm anyone.
She has a somewhat contradicting personality. To strangers, she can come off as cold, sinister, and sarcastic. With those she trusts she can be cheerful and compassionate. Avery might also seem very vague sometimes silly or a little insane at times. It really depends on the situation.
She has a passion for human creativity. She is patron to every art be it music, dance, painting, poetry, theater, etc. She is the Muse of enlightened and creative thought. Curiosity is her greatest weakness and asset. She knows that knowledge is power and is willing to go to great lengths to obtain it. Unfortunately, she still hasn't learned that some things are best left unknown.

Background and History:
Avery is obviously not her real name. She came into being during the height of the Renaissance in Milan and named Elisabetta. She always knew she was different. Firstly, because she had no memories of her childhood. She assumed that she had probably caught the fever, and therefore lost all memory of her past when she recovered. It hadn't been unheard of.
So now what was she to do? She couldn't live on the streets along with the most vile criminals that plagued Milan. Instead, she cut off her locks of raven hair and pretended to be a boy, getting the job as a servant to a blind and wealthy paper merchant. She suspected that many others saw through her, though. Her delicate pixie-like features were a little too feminine.
When her employer died, she too was called up to heaven to be told the truth. At first, she was intrigued by the news, then slightly revolted. Is this what was to be expected of her? To be happy, do what she's told, and above all behave. Never!
She fled to earth and has stayed there since, inspiring imagination and genius in humanity, sometimes paying special attention to individuals.
She currently resides secretly in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She's curious though, but cautious about the war. She knows they'll be looking for her, demanding that she play some part in struggle. That is something she must avoid.
But still, it's all very intriguing. Will she watch from the sidelines or take an active part. The biggest question is, who's side will she take?

Example Role Play (must be at least two FULL paragraphs):
It was dark in the museum, yet the thin pale figure seemed to glow with a soft light. She stood in front of a large painting of the Annunciation, gazing up at the angel Gabriel who was greeting the Madonna. It was a lovely work of art.
Why are all the angels blonde? she muttered, yet again, disdainfully, and sighed. It was a brilliant piece, she just wished they could've been a little more original.
She sat down on one of the wooden benches scattered through out the exhibit, staring at the shoelaces of her green high tops. The war was getting more intense. Should she contact her old companions and tell them she wished no part in it? No, they'd probably keep her from leaving, try to convince or demand her to fight.
She already had to slip past Lucifer's demon last week, who was obviously planning to make yet another offer. She'd turned down at least four in the past five centuries. She remember the first so clearly.
"You're so different from the rest. Why would that be? You don't always have to be an outcast. We would appreciate your talents so much more..." he had said in a velvety smooth voice. She could hear it in her head like he was standing next to her.
Avery had to admit, she was sorely tempted. Now more then ever. But she knew that her will would no longer be her own and she'd have to do as Lucifer told. Of course, it wouldn't be so bad. Lucifer seemed like a pretty decent person. He acted against ignorance and authority....and that's what got him into this mess.
No, I'll content myself with where I am. she decided, again. Her life was loney...and somewhat boring. The novelty of life on Earth soon wore off, that is, until the Museum was built.
She was quiet proud of her home. What better place for a Muse, than to be surrounded by a labyrinth of the world's finest art? It was always her museum, as she liked to think.
But at the moment, she felt a bit trapped. She needed to get away for a while, but to where? What place would hold her interest? She had heard that there was something odd going on in some small town, not far from New York. Something about humans acquiring extraordinary "gifts". It would be dangerous, she knew, it seemed too center too conveniently around the War.
What's life without a little danger?

Anything Else? Hmm, yes. Do humans just not see angel's wings or do they do something to hide them? Just want to clairify that just incase I post something incorrect.
